Data plans: low cost GSM/GPRS communication
Metrilog's M2M system is carrier-independent, and the remote units can be operated virtually world-wide, as long as GSM coverage ist present. GPRS (General Packet Radio Service) provides relatively high data transmission rates (compared with other wireless technologies), but keeps costs low because the invoicing method is based on the amount of data transferred.
Metrilog performs SIM card administration, GPRS traffic invoicing and rate negotiation with different GSM providers. You get therefore only one invoice for all services, including the cost of data transfers.
